Our fully integrated turnkey facility allows us to manage every stage of the process — from design and tooling to production and finishing. History Of Protech Model
The birth of Protech Model
Specialising in Patternmaking. Main market – Automotive Industry
1990
Protech Model starts to
specialise in composites and large format Resin vacuum-bag mouldings.
1992
Large scale GRP
Mouldings become part of the portfolio.
1994
Polyurethane injection moulding
Machine for RIM is built, in house, for PU parts up to 7kgs.
1996
Large scale RIM tooling
and part manufacture becomes a big part of what we do.
1998
We build our first
Vacuum former capable of forming a 1250 X 830 blank.
2000
Purchase our first
5-axis Robot arm.
2001
CNC machining
Is added to improve mould turnaround time. 2 more added over the years.
2004
We move to a larger
facility to allow for 3050 X 2050 sheet forming.
2005
We start manufacturing
parts that are a combination of vacuum forming and fabrication.
2010
Moved to our
current premises in Gateway Industrial Park.
2015
Expanded into an
additional Factory, giving us 1000m2 of additional operating space .
2019
Installation of
our own in-house Spray booth, increasing the quality of our products with more process control.
2020
